BaBar, Belle and LHCb have all measured the parameters R(D) and R(D*) to be in excess of the Standard Model predictions.  Freytsis et al (arXiv:1506.08896) have obtained the coupling strengths of various New Physics operators which can explain this excess. In this work (arXiv:1606.03164), we look at the angular observables which can distinguish between these different solutions. We find that the D* polarization is the most suitable to distinguish NP operators of scalar/pseudoscalar or tensor form.  We find that the change induced by these operators is large enough to be observable in the upcoming Belle measurement.
