QCD and Collider Physics · Four Lectures
Keith Ellis (CERN/Fermilab)
November 24-December 15, 2005
EPFL (Lausanne), salle CO10

An introduction will be given to the main applications of QCD at high energy colliders, namely shower Monte-Carlo programs, and the hadroproduction of Jets, Photons, Vector bosons, Heavy Quarks and Higgs bosons.

Lecture 1 · Thursday, November 24, 14.15-17.30
Exercises for Lecture 1
Lecture 2 · Thursday, December 1, 14.15-17.30
Exercises for Lecture 2

These lectures will assume some familiarity with the material covered in the previous course given by Stéphane Peigné in January-February 2005.

The lectures will be substantially based on the book QCD and Collider Physics by R.K. Ellis, W.J. Stirling and B.R. Webber.
